One of our clients is looking for Controls Engineer in Louisville, KY.
Duration of the project: 12+ months
Shift: 1st (7:00 am to 4:00 pm)
Pay rate: $35/hr.
Job Description
Develop, design, implement, upgrade, commission, and certify instrumentation and data acquisition for component and/or whole product evaluation, performance, or compliance testing; Update and maintain current instrumentation programs in technology labs (labview, VEE, C++, Python).
Will need to become familiar with programming of environmental test chambers and instrumentation supporting the chambers
Will need to become familiar with test standards such as IEC standby power and harmonics; Will need to work with Data Technology team to setup IP addresses and Ports for lab computers and also to enable monitored remote viewing by OEM on lab computers ; May require updating Visual Basic macros used for data analysis and reports or converting macros into C++ or similar code. ;Setup new computers with lab instrumentation software and work with DT to ensure automatic updates/reboot are disables.
2+ years of experience with procurement, testing, installation of instrumentation and controls ; Experience programming in Python, LabView, VEE or C++ for data acquisition and control of instruments ;Ability to work in large cross-functional teams and with salaried and union personnel; Project management experience
Prior experience industrial process instrumentation and controls including pressure regulators, flow meters, dampers & flow control valves, safety shut off valves, sealed systems, and humidity generators. ;Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints, Practical knowledge of networking ;Knowledge/experience in single and three phase electrical distribution systems up to 480V
Education: Electrical Engineering Technology, Applied Technology Degree or Electrical Engineering Degree
Pay: $35.00 per hour
