We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (Aesthetic Operations Coordinator) to join our innovative healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake, including collecting vital signs, medical histories, and updating electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately.
- Prepare treatment rooms for aesthetic procedures, ensuring cleanliness, sterilization, and proper equipment setup.
- Support providers during procedures by managing supplies, assisting with patient positioning, and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatments.
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and coordinate with other departments to optimize clinic flow.
- Document medical procedures, medication administration, and relevant notes with precision in medical records and documentation systems.
- Conduct basic phlebotomy when necessary for lab testing or medication purposes, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain compliance with medical terminology standards, ICD coding for diagnoses, and physiology knowledge to support accurate documentation and billing processes.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient settings.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management is essential.
- Prior inpatient or outpatient experience at Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of pharmacology, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to ensure precise patient care support.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus.
- Experience working within hospital environments or emergency medicine settings will be advantageous for this role.
- Strong patient service skills combined with medical office management experience to deliver exceptional care and operational efficiency.
