THE OPPORTUNITY
Eterna Christian Academy is a new private Christian middle school launching in Augusta, Georgia under the nonprofit umbrella of City Impact CDC. We are building something from the ground up — a small, intentional learning community for students in grades 6 through 8, grounded in biblical worldview and committed to academic excellence.
We are not a large institution. We are a founding community. And we are looking for the right person — not just a qualified one.
This is a ground-floor leadership role in a school being built with vision and purpose. As Head of School and Lead Facilitator you will carry both the administrative and instructional responsibility for our founding cohort of 8 to 10 middle school students. You will guide their academic journey through the Ignitia online Christian curriculum platform while shaping the culture, systems, and community of a school that Augusta has been waiting for.
This is not a traditional classroom role. Ignitia is self-paced and online — your role is part administrator, part mentor, part culture builder. You will work directly under the Executive Director and report to the City Impact CDC board.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide daily supervision and academic facilitation for students in grades 6 through 8 using the Ignitia platform
- Serve as the primary point of contact for enrolled families — communication, progress updates, and relationship building
- Maintain student records, attendance documentation, and academic reporting in compliance with Georgia private school requirements
- Cultivate a school culture grounded in faith, academic seriousness, and covenant community
- Assist the Executive Director with enrollment, compliance, and school operations
- Participate in staff orientation and Ignitia platform training before the first day of school
- Help shape the policies, rhythms, and culture of a school being built from scratch
WHO YOU ARE
- A committed Christian whose faith is active, visible, and integral to how you work
- Someone who genuinely loves middle schoolers and believes in their capacity for greatness
- A self-starter who can hold structure without being handed a script
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable with technology
- A background in teaching, homeschooling, educational ministry, or academic tutoring is strongly preferred
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred — character, calling, and competence matter most
- A resident of or willing to commute to Augusta, Georgia

Pay: $28,000.00 - $32,000.00 per year
