Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a positive first impression
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in sales transactions processing
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings, cocktail options, and menu items based on guest preferences
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth service flow
- Handle guest inquiries professionally, resolve concerns promptly, and foster positive guest relations
- Support team members during busy periods by managing multiple tables and coordinating with kitchen staff
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques including alcohol safety standards
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs confidently
- Culinary experience or food handling knowledge is advantageous for understanding menu ingredients and preparation standards
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced setting
