We are seeking an experienced Psychiatrist (MD) or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a passion for teaching and mentorship to join our growing, dynamic behavioral health team as a Provider Supervisor.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting clinicians through supervision and leadership. The position can be supervision-only or a hybrid role that includes limited clinical work—both options are open for discussion.

Job Summary
The Psychiatrist or Nurse Practitioner Supervisor will oversee and support our behavioral health providers while ensuring high-quality, ethical, and compliant patient care. This role includes clinical supervision of NPs, MDs, and PAs, and may include direct patient care if desired.
The ideal candidate has experience working with children and adolescents, as well as complex cases including developmental disabilities, PTSD, addiction, and crisis situations. Leadership experience and a collaborative approach are essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision (approximately 1 hour per new provider) for NPs, MDs, and PAs
- Offer psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning when providing clinical care
- Oversee medication management and ensure safe, evidence-based prescribing practices
- Supervise and support clinical staff while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
- Deliver or guide evidence-based treatments, including CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and other psychotherapeutic interventions
- Conduct intake evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and case reviews
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Lead or support crisis management and emergency psychiatric situations as needed
- Facilitate and oversee telehealth services using secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across outpatient, inpatient, and community-based settings
Schedule & Workload
- Supervision: Weekly supervision for assigned providers
- Clinical Work (Optional): Minimum 6–8 hours per week if choosing a hybrid role
- Supervision-only roles are welcome and can be discussed further
Qualifications & Experience
- MD (Psychiatrist) or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license
- Experience in pediatric psychiatry and/or adult mental health
- Strong background working with children, adolescents, geriatrics, or complex populations
- Experience managing acute psychiatric cases, crisis intervention, and hospital-based care preferred
- Expertise in CBT, psychodynamic therapy, addiction treatment, PTSD, and developmental disabilities
- Experience providing or supervising telehealth services
- Familiarity with medical documentation, intake processes, and diagnostic evaluations
- Prior experience supervising clinicians or leading behavioral health teams strongly preferred
