Overview
A Quality Control Specialist evaluates production processes and systems to ensure they meet internal benchmarks, AS9100 & ISO 9001 standards. They inspect processes, document deviations, perform root-cause analysis, perform related quality calibrations, and recommend corrective actions to improve, minimize defects, and drive continuous operational improvement.
Duties
- Perform daily verification tests on hardness testing equipment.
- Tracking calibrations done by outside services.
- Internal Calibration of Micrometers.
- Conduct comprehensive quality audits to verify compliance with ISO 9001:15, AS9100 regulations, and other regulatory standards.
- Review specifications from external organizations and ensure adherence in procedures.
- Complete required quality assurance paperwork.
- Review and administer changes to Quality Management System (QMS) documentation.
- Manage the internal Document Control Master List.
- Communicate with management, supervisors, and employees concerning quality issues.
- Work alongside HR to oversee company training programs.
- Laboratory hardness testing back-up.
- Assist training functions as directed.
- Ensure security and proper use of company equipment, tooling and supplies.
- Adhere to all safety standards and procedures and maintain an ongoing awareness of safety for self and others in assigned work areas.
Qualifications:
- 1 + years of experience conducting quality audits aligned with ISO 9001 (QMS) or AS9100 (Aero Space QMS) standards.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to understand test results, diagnose issues and to strive toward continual improvement.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
Status: Full-time, hourly pay.
Pay: $45,760.00 - $52,000.00 per year

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- ISO 9001 QMS auditing : 1 year (Required)
- AS9100 system auditing: 1 year (Preferred)
