Duties
- Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu, offering recommendations and upselling where appropriate to enhance their experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all details are correct for timely delivery.
- Serve food, cocktails, spirits, wine, and beverages with professionalism and attention to presentation standards.
- Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales and cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery while managing multiple tables seamlessly.
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a memorable dining experience.
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred, especially in fine dining environments or high-volume settings.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable or similar reservation platforms is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Demonstrated ability in upselling menu items to increase sales while ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation standards required; familiarity with food handling procedures is essential.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude that fosters guest loyalty and positive interactions.
