Position Summary
The Registered Dental Assistant plays a key role in ensuring efficient patient flow and providing excellent clinical support to the doctor and team. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering outstanding patient care while maintaining compliance with all OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor chairside during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient care
- Take diagnostic radiographs
- Update treatment plans and accurately document clinical notes
- Maintain efficient patient flow throughout the day
- Track and manage laboratory cases
- Educate patients regarding treatment and oral health recommendations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment
- Support team members and contribute to a positive workplace culture
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Current Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license
- Current Dental Radiology Certification
- Current BLS/CPR Certification
- Minimum one (1) year of dental assisting experience required
- Dentrix Ascend experience preferred but not required
- Spanish-speaking candidates strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and reliability
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time position
- Hourly pay: $17.00–$19.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
- Monthly performance bonus opportunities
