Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support medical staff, and ensure smooth clinic operations across various specialties including dermatology, internal medicine, urgent care, and hospital medicine. Your expertise in medical assisting, documentation, and patient service will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and valued.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, vital signs measurement, and medical history documentation using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Prepare examination rooms and assist during procedures, including phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support when necessary.
- Manage patient flow efficiently by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and updating medical records accurately.
- Support clinical tasks such as collecting specimens, performing EHR/EHR management tasks, and maintaining medical documentation with precision.
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in outpatient and inpatient settings, including hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU (Intensive Care Unit).
- Ensure clinic workflow is set-up properly and the rooms are turned in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with medical terminology standards, ICD coding for diagnoses, and accurate recording of medical records to support billing and legal documentation.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a medical office environment with familiarity in Vascular, Interventional Radiology, internal medicine, or urgent care settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology to support accurate patient assessments.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records efficiently.
- Hands-on experience performing phlebotomy and assisting with medication administration in inpatient or outpatient settings.
- Background working within hospital environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers or emergency departments is advantageous.
- Proven ability to provide compassionate patient care while managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments like Geriatrics, Medical-surgical units or Geriatrics units.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
