About the Role:
Sacramento Montessori is looking for a passionate and nurturing Infant Teacher to join our dedicated early childhood education team in Sacramento, CA. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact during the most formative stage of a child's development in a warm, child-centered environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, loving care and supervision for infants in a safe and nurturing classroom environment
- Implement age-appropriate Montessori-inspired activities that support infant development and sensory exploration
- Monitor and document each infant's developmental milestones, behaviors, and daily routines
- Maintain open, consistent communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and daily activities
- Ensure classroom cleanliness, safety, and adherence to health and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a cohesive, supportive learning community
- Follow all licensing regulations and childcare compliance requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 units in Early Childhood Education (ECE), infant/toddler units
- Previous experience working with infants in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain
- Must meet California Community Care Licensing background check requirements
- Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for infant care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
