Position Overview
The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging examinations in accordance with ARRT standards, New York State regulations, and organizational protocols.
In this role, you will:
- Perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiology procedures
- Prepare and educate patients prior to examinations
- Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently
- Review images for quality and proper patient identification
- Maintain ALARA radiation safety standards
- Complete required documentation and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with radiologists and fellow team members to provide outstanding patient care

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current ARRT (R) certification or registry eligible
- Registry-eligible candidates must obtain certification within six months of hire
- New York State Radiologic Technologist license, if applicable
- BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
- One to three years of radiology experience preferred
- Outpatient imaging experience preferred
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Interest in Mammography is welcomed but not required
