Abshure Lawn Care is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our growing lawn care and landscaping team. Lawn Care Workers are responsible for mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, and maintaining commercial properties to company standards.
This is a physically demanding outdoor position that requires attention to detail, safe equipment operation, and a professional attitude. Employees must be able to work in hot weather, follow instructions, and treat customer property with care and respect.
This is a seasonal position. Work is typically steady during the growing season. Work usually stops around end of October or early November.
This is physically demanding outdoor work performed in Arkansas summer conditions. Employees should expect long days in the heat and humidity. Applicants who enjoy working outdoors and can maintain a positive attitude in challenging conditions tend to be the most successful in this position. This position is not a good fit for everyone. Employees who are dependable, physically capable, and willing to learn often do very well with our company.
Pay
- Our pay range for lawn care worker is from $14-19/hr. This depends on experience, time spent with the company, and the quality of work shown to us during a trial.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial lawn mowers, weed eaters, blowers, and edger
- Mow, edge, trim, and clean properties to company standards
- Safely load and unload equipment and secure trailers
- Maintain clean and organized work vehicles
- Follow all company safety procedures and mowing protocols
- Report property damage, equipment issues, and customer concerns immediately
- Attend required monthly safety meetings
- Work efficiently as part of a team
Requirements
- Valid driver's license preferred (required for crew lead positions)
- Ability to work outdoors in up to 116 degree heat with up to 100% humidity.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Working cell phone
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain quality standards
- Due to the nature of our commercial accounts, including work performed on school properties, all applicants must successfully pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous commercial lawn care or landscaping experience. Mowing your own yard does not count
- Experience operating commercial mowing equipment
- Knowledge of trailer loading and equipment safety

Schedule
- Typical schedule is Monday through Friday beginning at 6:00 AM. During periods of rain or weather delays, Saturday work may be required to complete scheduled properties. Sunday is always off.
