We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Garden Center Manager to assist with the daily operations of our Stevens Point, WI Store. This is a great opportunity to help lead a dedicated team, provide exceptional customer service, and contribute to the growth of a thriving retail garden center.
What You’ll Do:

Assist the Garden Center Manager in planning, ordering, and displaying plants and other products

Assist with training new employees

Assist with maintaining product quality through watering, trimming, and fertilizing.

Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, organized and visually appealing environment - both indoors and outdoors

Providing excellent customer service throughout the entire buying experience

Assist with customer service issues when necessary

Assist with unloading merchandise from trucks
What We’re Looking For:

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
-
Experience with POS systems, inventory control, purchasing, and database management
-
Knowledge of annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs, soils, insecticides, and disease related topics preferred

Previous supervising or management experience preferred

Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends

Team player with a positive, hands-on attitude
