Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Technician
Department: Manufacturing
Summary: Packages and ships products to customers. Receives incoming materials and supplies by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Establishes shipping priority sequence, inspects each order for quality, and then packages finished product for shipment to customers.*
2. Interfaces with UPS shipping terminal to input shipping data and create shipping labels and documentation.*
3. Stages packages for UPS pick up, interfaces with UPS truck driver, and loads freight as necessary.*
4. Builds and ships skids when required.*
5. Assists customers with pick up of items too large for store front pickup.*
6. Receives materials and supplies, enters data into the PO system, forwards appropriate documentation to accounts receivable, and notifies PO originator of delivery status when necessary.*
7. Obtains shipping quotes from outside carriers for the Sales department as requested.*
8. Maintains a clean, safe, organized work area.
9. Adheres to all company policies and procedures.*
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
