Full-Time Car Wash Maintenance Technician
$25-$30 an hour to start, dependent on experience
Job Summary
Mr. Sparkle Car Wash is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on car wash equipment and facilities within an assigned service area. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently while supporting a team-focused environment. Occasional assistance with general facility maintenance and special projects may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Mr. Sparkle car wash equipment and systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic equipment issues.
- Troubleshoot equipment operation and complete repairs efficiently and safely.
- Repair and replace electrical components, hydraulic motors, hoses, and related equipment.
- Perform light plumbing and electrical repairs.
- Complete car wash equipment installations, upgrades, and preventive maintenance services.
- Assist with general building and facility maintenance.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed.
- One weekend day is required.
- Work evenings occasionally
- Carry a company cell phone and remain available for maintenance emergencies on a rotating basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience working on electromechanical equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance practices and OSHA safety standards.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical systems using a volt/ohm meter.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Clean and valid driving record.
Education & Training
- Technical school training preferred but not required.
- 2-4 years of maintenance or equipment repair experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills and ability to interface with equipment software programs.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely climb ladders and work at heights.
