Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of coffee beverages and specialty drinks with precision and flair, ensuring each cup meets quality standards.
- Serve food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and proper food handling procedures.
- Manage retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and offering personalized recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support smooth café operations during busy periods.
- Handle cash register operations confidently, ensuring accurate math calculations for retail math and transaction balancing.
- Demonstrate effective time management skills by prioritizing tasks during peak hours to ensure quick service without compromising quality.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in sales transactions.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and retail transactions.
