Lead Technical Project Manager Position Summary
The Lead Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading enterprise software releases, application enhancements, and strategic technology initiatives. This role partners with business leaders, development teams, Product Owners, and executive stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions using Agile methodologies.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in software release management, Agile project delivery, and executive communication. This individual will balance technical execution with business priorities while driving successful project outcomes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise software releases, upgrades, enhancements, and technology initiatives from planning through deployment.
- Manage multiple Agile software development projects across cross-functional teams.
- Develop and maintain project plans, release schedules, roadmaps, and executive status reporting.
- Coordinate release activities across Product, Development, QA, Infrastructure, Security, and business stakeholders.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and release planning.
- Present project updates, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Identify and resolve project risks, resource constraints, and delivery issues.
- Drive continuous improvement of Agile delivery and release management processes.
- Mentor Project Managers and promote Agile best practices across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of IT Project Management experience leading enterprise software initiatives.
- Strong experience managing software releases, application upgrades, and enhancement projects.
- Proven success leading Agile software development teams using Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
- Experience presenting to executive leadership and partnering with C-suite stakeholders.
- Experience with Azure DevOps strongly preferred. Jira or similar Agile project management tools will also be considered.
- PMP and/or SAFe certification preferred.

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
