American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray Tech) for an evening shift contract at a short-term acute care teaching hospital, with Epic EMR experience required.

Short-term acute care teaching hospital with 59 beds
-
Evening shifts, 5x8 hours, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Block scheduling required; no weekends, no on-call
-
Work settings include adult acute care, adult outpatient, ED, ICU, OR, PICU, and bedside/portable procedures
-
Procedures include general X-ray of chest, spine, extremities, abdomen, and head; fluoroscopy studies (barium swallow, contrast enema, arthrography, myelography, upper GI series); portable/bedside imaging; and C-arm surgical procedures

Equipment used includes GE and Philips systems, PACS, and C-arm

Charting via Epic (experience required)

Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities within the state

Minimum of 1 year of X-Ray Tech experience
-
ARRT (R) and BLS certifications required
-
Epic EMR proficiency required
-
Teaching hospital or community hospital experience preferred

Must have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle for this assignment

2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting

SSN and DOB required for consideration

License required if applicable

First-time travelers will be considered for this position

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates may be accepted at a different rate

Former permanent employees of this facility must have a minimum 3-month gap before returning as a traveler, and cannot be within 50 miles of the submitting facility

Candidates will be asked whether they have previously worked at a Providence facility (as a permanent employee, traveler, or registry/per-diem) and must disclose location and dates if applicable
-
RTO of up to 6 days total or 3 consecutive days may be approved; requests exceeding 6 days may delay the offer process — all RTO must be requested upfront
-
Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day

Scrubs of any color are acceptable for this unit
