We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Drafter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for civil engineering projects, including roads, utilities, and site developments. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure designs meet specifications, codes, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other drafting software.
- Develop and modify topographical maps, grading plans, and construction drawings.
- Interpret engineering sketches, survey data, and design notes to create accurate plans.
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs comply with regulations and project requirements.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback and field adjustments.
- Maintain organized records of drawings and project documentation.
- Assist in quantity takeoffs, cost estimations, and material specifications.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associates degree or certificate in drafting, civil engineering technology, or related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other relevant drafting software.
- Experience with GIS, Revit, or BIM is a plus.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, grading, drainage, and site layout.
- Ability to read and interpret plan sets, survey data, and construction documents.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Previous experience in a civil engineering or construction environment is a plus.
Preferred Experience:
- 2 years of experience in civil drafting or a related field.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal civil engineering codes and standards.
- Knowledge of land development, transportation, or municipal infrastructure projects.
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
