Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Director, Capture Management to lead the Launch and Exploration Capture Director team.
This position is preferably based in Chandler, AZ, though we are also considering candidates located at our (VA, CO, UT) campuses.
This position will lead to the most strategic capture efforts for the Launch and Exploration Division (LED) in the Space Systems sector. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading capture for LED, including leading a team of capture managers, and working closely with LED Business Development team to ensure achievement of near and long-term strategic growth objectives for LED.
The candidate must have demonstrated experience successfully leading large captures, including extensive experience with customer engagement, strategy development, international capture, resource planning, and acquisition processes. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience leading diverse cross-functional teams, be a strong communicator, and be able to work successfully within classified and unclassified areas. The candidate will collaborate with leadership at all levels as well as business functions.
The Director, Capture Management will work as an integral part of the LED business development team, reporting to the Sr. Director Capture Excellence, Space Systems.
Primary roles and responsibilities include:
Provide leadership to Capture Managers, including some not directly reporting to this position, ensuring all Capture Managers are included and receive any help or guidance they need in the pursuit of their Captures.
Demonstration excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate and collaborate with line of business management, strategy, finance, contracts and global supply chain, technology and engineering offices and functions.
Lead the development of briefing materials and responses for the VP of BD, including ELT briefings, Deep Dives, monthly New Business Reviews, and Sector Gate Reviews.
Basic Qualifications
Leadership skills to develop, organize and execute significant capture activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, ensuring execution of customer call plans to shape acquisitions to respond to and win business with new and existing customers.
Extensive knowledge, experience, and success in leading and winning captures of large-scale opportunities over $500M, fixed price development.
Demonstrable understanding of all contract types (non-IDIQ, IDIQ - single or multiple award contracts), as well as payment types (e.g., FFP, T&M, cost plus).
Preferred Qualifications:
Primary Level Salary Range: $170,600.00 - $256,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
