We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Aquatics Specialist to lead our aquatic programs and ensure a safe, engaging, and enjoyable environment for all guests. In this role, you will oversee pool operations, coordinate swim lessons and aquatic events, and provide exceptional guest service. Duties
- Manage daily pool operations, including supervising lifeguards and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Plan, organize, and oversee a variety of aquatic events, swim lessons, and special programs to enhance guest experiences
- Lead shift management by coordinating staff schedules, assigning duties, and supervising team members to deliver excellent customer service
- Maintain accurate reports on pool activity, incident logs, safety inspections, and event summaries to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
- Handle guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and provide exceptional guest services to foster a welcoming environment
- Oversee cash handling for program fees or merchandise sales related to aquatic activities
- Supervise and mentor team members, including lifeguards and event staff, promoting a positive team culture focused on safety and service excellence
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supervising or managing water-based activities such as swimming pools, water parks, or aquatic centers
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Experience in event management or organizing large-scale activities within a hospitality or resort setting
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to aquatic environments and first aid/CPR certification is preferred
- Background in hospitality or restaurant management is advantageous for understanding guest needs and operational flow
- Prior experience with shift management, report writing, cash handling, and supervising teams is highly desirable
