Med/Surg Registered Nurse

Compensation: $90,000 to $105,000 per year
This regional healthcare system is hiring a full time Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse for its inpatient services division in Great Falls, Montana. This role provides care for pediatric and adult patients presenting with acute medical conditions or undergoing pre and post surgical procedures, with strong nurse to patient ratios and administrative support for clinical staff.
Schedule: Full time, on site, multiple shifts available.
Compensation: $90,000 to $105,000 per year, based on documented years of nursing experience.
What You'll Do:
This RN will deliver patient care using the full nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, providing care for both pediatric and adult populations with acute medical conditions or pre and post surgical needs. This role includes collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, providers, the Acute Care Director, and the Charge Nurse on patient outcomes, and communicating with patients and families to provide physical, emotional, and educational support. This nurse will serve as a clinical resource on the floor, providing direction to LPNs, CNAs, housekeeping, and dietary staff, and will maintain accurate, timely electronic documentation of patient status, treatment progression, and discharge coordination.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing)
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Montana, or immediate eligibility for compact/endorsement licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, active or completed within 6 months of hire
- Proficient IV insertion and management skills
- Basic computer and electronic documentation literacy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Previous Medical/Surgical or Pediatric nursing experience
- New graduates and nurses transitioning specialties are welcome to apply
Compensation and Benefits:
