Boys & Girls Club of Livingston County is looking for a professional cook to prepare and serve food to youth for dinner. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.
Responsibilities
- Set up and stocking all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for dinner and serve it to the youth every day
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the State's Child & Adult Care Feeding Program.
- Answer, report and follow guidelines per the Feeding program regulations
- Document and manage paperwork regarding CACFP guidelines
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out for 1-3 sites in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Required Experience:
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks is imperative
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.62 - $20.01 per hour
