Our Store serves a diverse customer group with foodservice equipment and supplies. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for providing an exceptional shopping experience for every customer and assisting the Store Management with daily operations and objectives. This job requires assisting with equipment sales, customer resolutions, phones, product stock put away, merchandising, checking customer out at the register, invoicing and some light equipment assembly.
The main objective of the position is to provide support for the store manager with inventory management and merchandising, making sure customers are taken care of on the phone and on store floor, and being a key holder with open and close responsibilities including being primary manager during Saturday hours.
This position includes but is not limited to:
· Help maintain restaurant and foodservice supplies and stock replenishment
· Assist customers in locating kitchen supplies during in-store visits with product knowledge
· Selling equipment and supplies based on customers’ needs in person and on the phone
· Answering inbound calls
· Checking customers out at the register with POS system
· Acknowledge and be attentive to store conditions
· Attend opportunities to educate and train on culinary products
· Maintaining and printing signage and price tags
· Key holder with occasional open and close responsibilities
· Invoicing customer pick ups
· Work toward achieving growth and future opportunity by showing initiative
This position works closely with customers, warehouse staff, sales staff, and office staff to ensure processes, inventory flow and loading/delivery is completed.
Skills
Assistant Store Managers needs to have good interpersonal skills and enjoy working with people and restaurant kitchen supplies. Must have good computer skills. Must be able to cover for inside sales when necessary. Will be primary for inside sales on Saturday’s. Success is defined by the customer in-store and on the phone experience.
Education and Qualifications
Must have high school diploma and good communications with basic numeric skills. A culinary background or restaurant service experience is a plus in helping serve customers. Customer service experience is a plus. Knowing an additional language, especially Spanish, is a plus.
