Junior Smiles of Stafford is seeking an experienced, energetic, and compassionate Pediatric Dental Chairside/Oral Surgery Assistant to join our growing team. We are looking for a team player who loves working with children, values exceptional patient care, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of chairside dental assisting experience
- Pediatric dental experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport with children and parents
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Positive attitude and dependable attendance
- Radiology certification (required per state regulations)
Responsibilities:
- Assist the doctor during pediatric dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain infection control standards
- Take digital radiographs
- Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate clinical records
- Ensure a positive and comfortable patient experience
Bonus Qualifications:
- Oral surgery experience is a plus
- Experience with nitrous oxide monitoring
- Familiarity with Dentrix Ascend or similar dental software
