Vacation Rental Turnover Specialist
Location: Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater & Surrounding Areas
Schedule: Part-Time | Primarily 11:00 AM–4:00 PM | Hours Vary by Day
Weekend Availability Required
Starting Pay: $22.00 per hour
This is a 1099 independent contractor position.
Job Summary
Emerald Escapes is looking for reliable, detail-oriented Vacation Rental Turnover Specialists to join our professional cleaning team serving short-term vacation rentals throughout the Thurston County area.
This position focuses on preparing vacation homes between guest stays, including detailed cleaning, laundry, restocking, and ensuring each property is clean, welcoming, and guest-ready.

Responsibilities
- Clean and reset short-term vacation rentals between guest stays
- Wash, dry, fold, and restock linens and towels
- Restock property supplies, including toiletries and paper goods
- Follow detailed cleaning checklists and company standards
- Inspect homes for cleanliness and guest readiness
- Report damages, missing items, maintenance concerns, or unusual conditions
- Complete assigned properties accurately and within required timeframes
- Communicate with management regarding property issues or supply needs
Schedule & Hours
- Most shifts take place between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM
- Weekend availability is required
- Hours and number of shifts vary depending on guest checkouts and seasonal demand
- Holiday availability is a plus
- Additional hours may be available during busy seasons
Qualifications
- Previous cleaning experience required; residential, hotel, housekeeping, or vacation rental experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions and checklists
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Ability to reliably travel between properties throughout the service area
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Physically able to perform cleaning duties, including standing, bending, reaching, and lifting
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
- Reliable communication and ability to respond to scheduling updates
