About UL Solutions’ Wireless Testing Technician Seasonal Role
Join UL’s industry-leading wireless testing labs for a hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced, and customer-focused environment. You’ll work alongside experts in Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) , Radio Frequency (RF) testing, contributing to the evaluation of cutting-edge wireless devices.
UL Solutions labs are known for their innovative equipment design and rigorous quality standards. This is a great opportunity to gain real-world experience in wireless technology testing while collaborating with a passionate team.
Seasonal Shifts & Schedules
SAR Testing (September– January)
- Automated robot-assisted testing of wireless devices.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 6 days/week
- 1st Shift: 6am–6pm
- 2nd Shift: 6pm–6am
RF Testing (September– January)
- Hands-on testing using state-of-the-art RF equipment across various technologies.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 5 days/week
- 1st Shift: 4:30am–4:30pm
2nd Shift: 4:30pm–4:30am

- Hours vary during training periods and throughout the internship.
- Evaluating test performance and sample operation to properly evaluate test results.
- Recording and explaining test results and complete test report for Engineering staff.
- Examining customer samples and learning to operate basic tests for each case.
- Following defined test plans and datasheets.
- Communicating with customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation.
- Developing a working knowledge of the job, methods, instrumentation and systems
- Must be at least 18 years old at time of application.
- Indefinite right to work in the U.S.
- No prior experience required—comprehensive training provided.
- Must be able to work onsite in Fremont, CA (relocation not provided).
- Must have reliable transportation to and from Fremont office
What we offer:
Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The hourly rate for this position is $21 plus overtime and pay differential for 2nd shift.
