Experienced Part-Time Medical Assistant
We are a private medical practice seeking an experienced, professional, compassionate, and dependable Medical Assistant (MA) to join our team. Our practice provides personalized, high-quality care to our patients, including VIP and concierge-level patients. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Medical Assistant who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment and understands the importance of confidentiality, professionalism, attention to detail, and exceptional patient service.
Position Details
Position: Part-Time Medical Assistant (2 positions)
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Available Schedule:
- 8:00 AM–2:00 PM, or
- 12:00 PM–6:00 PM
Schedule Flexibility: Flexibility is required to accommodate patient and practice needs.
There is an opportunity for this position to transition to full-time employment based on the needs of the practice, performance, reliability, and mutual agreement.

Primary Responsibilities
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support while helping ensure that every patient receives exceptional, personalized care.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work with VIP and concierge patients to ensure they receive premium, personalized care while maintaining strict patient confidentiality.
- Assist with medical case management and coordination of ongoing patient care.
- Obtain and document vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Administer medications as directed and document therapeutic effects and patient responses.
- Perform blood draws on patients in office
- Prepare and administer injections and/or enemas as directed by the physician.
- Collect and properly process patient specimens and samples.
- Assist with patient comfort and follow-up.
- Perform initial patient screenings and obtain comprehensive patient histories.
- Assist with physical examinations and clinical procedures.
- Update patient records and verify the accuracy of information at each patient encounter.
- Review test results and assist with identifying the need for follow-up appointments, additional testing, or treatment as directed by the physician.
- Coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with physicians, staff, specialists, laboratories, and other healthcare providers as necessary.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for patients regarding ongoing care instructions, appointments, testing, and physician recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records.
- Assist with transitioning and organizing historical hard-copy medical records into digital format.
- Ensure medical records are maintained in accordance with applicable ethical, legal, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare examination rooms before and after patient appointments.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and appropriate stocking of clinical areas and supplies.
- Prepare patient charts and records for the following clinic day.
- Answer telephone calls professionally and assist patients with questions or requests within the scope of the position.
- Greet patients and provide a warm, professional, and welcoming experience.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating patient visits.
- Communicate prescription requests and refills to pharmacies as directed and authorized by the physician.
- Gather, process, maintain, and appropriately communicate patient medical information.
- Send preventative health correspondence and follow-up communications to patients as directed.
- Coordinate diagnostic testing and other patient services as needed.
- Assist with COVID-19 or other infectious-disease testing when required by the practice, with appropriate training provided.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all applicable privacy requirements.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion when working with VIP and private-pay patients.
- Meet practice standards and productivity expectations while consistently delivering high-quality patient care.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, clinical staff, administrative staff, and outside healthcare providers.
- Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as requested by the Physician or Executive Operations Manager.
Qualifications

- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical practice or clinical setting.

Compensation
Starting Pay: $26.00 per hour
Performance-based increases and occasional bonuses may be available based on performance, practice needs, and eligibility.
Work Environment
This is an in-person clinical position. Because we provide personalized care to our patients, regular attendance, punctuality, flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively with the entire practice team are essential.
Remote work is not available for this position.
