Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression and guiding them through their shopping experience
- Operate the cash register (POS system) efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with accuracy
- Assist customers with product demos, answering questions about store merchandise to enhance their understanding and satisfaction
- Upsell complementary products or services to maximize sales opportunities in a friendly, non-intrusive manner
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and maintain store merchandising standards to ensure an attractive shopping environment
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy following proper phone etiquette
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment and inventory checks to keep the store well-stocked and organized
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus for leadership opportunities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers in bilingual settings if applicable
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transactions and cash handling
- Knowledge of retail store product details and merchandising principles to assist customers effectively
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly for sales totals, discounts, and change-making
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and patience in busy environments
- Familiarity with product demos, upselling techniques, and stock management practices is highly desirable
