Duties
- Prepare a wide range of baked goods, including pastries, breads, and other confections, adhering strictly to recipes and quality standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, slicers, and food processors
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in food handling tasks such as portioning, packaging, and labeling products for sale or catering events
- Support food production processes by measuring ingredients accurately using basic math skills
- Contribute to high-volume production efforts while maintaining consistency and quality across all items
Requirements
- Proven experience in pastry preparation, baking, or food production within the food industry or catering environment
- Strong cake decorating skills with an eye for detail and presentation
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to hygiene standards
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent knife skills for precise cutting and preparation of ingredients
- Experience with food handling procedures, recipe adherence, and maintaining a clean workspace
- High-volume production experience preferred to meet demanding order timelines
- Good communication skills with a focus on customer service when interacting with clients or team members
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory
