Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide engaging, informative assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Educate guests on different strains, consumption methods, and product effects through product demos and detailed explanations
- Assist customers in selecting products based on their preferences, needs, and experience levels, upselling when appropriate to maximize satisfaction and sales
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently for cash handling, transactions, and inventory tracking
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure products are stocked accurately on shelves
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory management to keep the sales floor well-supplied
- Support store operations by performing cashier duties, processing transactions accurately, and managing retail math calculations
- Engage in product demonstrations to educate customers about new or featured items
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with all state regulations regarding cannabis sales and age restrictions
- Provide exceptional customer service by listening actively, communicating clearly, and addressing questions or concerns professionally
- Assist with general retail duties such as cleaning displays, organizing storage areas, and supporting merchandising initiatives
Requirements
- Previous retail Cannabis sales experience preferred
- Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex product details clearly and confidently
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and cash handling protocols required
- Knowledge of cannabis products, including strains, consumption methods, and effects is advantageous but not mandatory—training will be provided
- Basic math skills necessary for retail math calculations related to pricing, discounts, and inventory counts
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills essential for engaging with guests both in-store and over the phone
- Experience in merchandising, stocking shelves, and maintaining organized displays required for smooth store operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
