Eaton’s Electrical PCS division is currently seeking an Electronics Engineer to join our team. This hybrid position that is based out of our Moon Township, PA Eaton location. Relocation assistance will be provided within the US/PR.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year.

As an Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting both new product development and sustaining engineering initiatives by executing comprehensive testing and validation activities. You will develop and run automated test programs, analyze results, and verify the performance, reliability, and quality of electronic protection devices, including Trip Units and Circuit Breakers. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help ensure products meet design specifications, industry standards, and customer expectations while contributing to the successful launch and continuous improvement of innovative power management solutions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and execute automated and manual test plans across all levels of verification and validation for embedded firmware and hardware systems. Maintain detailed records of test execution, track progress, document results, generate reports, and clearly communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Design, implement, and execute automated test scripts, simulation models, and hardware in the loop (HIL) or software in the loop (SIL) test environments. Ensure all test activities comply with coding guidelines, electrical and safety standards, and established test architecture.
- Build and maintain automation frameworks and simulation tools to accelerate regression testing, expand test coverage, and improve reliability of embedded system validation.
- Support root cause investigations for manufacturing, plant level, and field reported issues by analyzing logs, running simulations, reproducing failures, and collaborating closely with engineering teams to drive resolution.
- Participate in design, architecture, and code reviews, with a focus on testability, automation readiness, and integration of simulation hooks into firmware/hardware components.
- Collaborate cross functionally with developers, product managers, systems engineers, and test teams to define verification strategies, refine requirements, identify automation opportunities, and support release readiness planning.
Basic Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Experience with validation and verification on electronics.
- General understanding of electrical power systems is required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and int future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in automation and testing.
- Experience with test equipment such as Omicron, Fluke, or, Power System Simulators.
- Experience with testing in large, complex electrical system environments.
- Experience with writing test automation scripts.
- A highly motivated and proactive professional who thrives both independently and as part of a collaborative team, with strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to navigate challenges effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create clear, comprehensive test procedures, technical documentation, and formal test reports.
- Working knowledge of electrical power systems and a solid understanding of related concepts and applications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting project deadlines.
Flexibility and willingness to travel up to 10% as required to support project and business needs.
