Responsibilities
- Provide attentive pet care by feeding, watering, exercising, and monitoring animals’ health and behavior throughout their stay
- Bathe, groom, and trim pets to ensure they look and feel their best
- Handle animals with care using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, grooming areas, and common spaces through thorough sanitization and organization
- Assist with pet boarding check-ins and check-outs, ensuring a smooth process for pet owners
- Support pet handling during grooming sessions or veterinary procedures as needed
- Engage in outdoor work activities such as walking dogs or cleaning outdoor kennels to promote animal health and comfort
- Collaborate with team members on lifting heavy supplies or animals safely during daily operations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing pet owner questions and updating them on their pets’ well-being
Qualifications
- Prior experience in veterinary settings, kennel work, pet sitting, or animal handling is highly desirable
- Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and dog training principles is a plus
- Familiarity with animal restraint methods and pet care facility sanitization standards
- Strong ability to handle animals safely using proper animal behavior understanding
- Experience with heavy lifting, outdoor work, and team lifting activities required for daily tasks
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards pet owners and colleagues
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Passion for animal welfare combined with reliable work ethic and teamwork skills
