Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Non CDL Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves local route driving, delivery, and transportation of goods using truck and trailer. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and moving. Duties
- Safely operate trucks for local route driving assignments
- Proper securing of loads a must
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, vehicle operation, and cargo handling
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Adhere to scheduled routes and delivery timelines
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the vehicle. Perform routine safety checks
Skills
- Proven experience in delivery driving or courier services with route driving familiarity
- Warehouse experience including loading/unloading cargo, forklift operation, and use of pallet jacks
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles (preferred) but not required
- Excellent driving skills with a valid driver’s license or equivalent
- Obtain a DOT medical card with 5 days of request
- Pass MVR report
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles safely and responsibly
- Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools
- Ability to work independently while managing time effectively
- May be required to perform tasks that require climbing, lifting, pushing or kneeling
- Must have the ability to read, speak and understand English, understand traffic signs and signals in the English language
- When not driving you will be helping out in the shop. Moving, cleaning, helping shop manager/employees
