Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and systems to ensure optimal plant operations. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems will drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. Duties
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to schedule and document work.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage circuits, utilizing tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain mechanical systems by repairing pumps, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Operate industrial equipment such as scissor lifts safely to access elevated areas for maintenance or repairs.
- Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct field service activities across the manufacturing site, ensuring minimal downtime while adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities within CMMS software for tracking, analysis, and compliance purposes.
- Work closely with customer to plan and execute preventive maintenance. Track downtime and provide insight to eliminate future occurrences.
Experience
- Proven industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing facility environment.
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of industrial electrician practices involving high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting automation systems.
- Overhead traveling crane experience
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex mechanical or electrical issues swiftly and accurately.
- Experience working with maintenance management systems (CMMS) for scheduling and documentation purposes.
- Previous field service experience in an industrial setting is highly desirable.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair VFDs, PLC, encoders, analog circuits, and other control systems
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to high voltage work, lockout/tagout procedures, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Military background or disciplined work ethic is considered a plus due to the technical rigor required for this role.
