REGISTERED DIETITIAN

NutriTech is looking for a Registered Dietitian to join our growing team. We have a part-time opportunity in your area (potential for full).
Position is 16 hours a week at a lovely facility located in Wooster, Ohio (50% of work can be done remotely). I personally covered this facility for 12 years. It is definitely one of the "better" more caring places to work in long term care!
Pay is very competitive.
Consultant Dietitian Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide ongoing nutrition support to staff and resident
- Implement dietary care plans
- Provide nutrition consultation to residents, staff and families on nutrition principles, diet modifications and any risks/concerns
- Inspect kitchen and dietary service areas to ensure compliance with food code regulations
- Ensure prescribed diets are followed and meet daily nutrition need requirements. This includes therapeutic and texture modifications
- Review menus for nutritional adequacy
- Be a team proactive team player
- Completion of nutrition assessment, MDS and care plan
- Facility uses Matrix
Qualifications and Skills
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently or with members of the healthcare team
- Must have ability to effectively communicate with residents and/ or their families
- Must be licensed with the State of Ohio in Dietetics
- Long Term Care Experience with a comprehensive knowledge of Section K on MDS is a plus
- Must be able to complete clinical assessments and implement nutritional plan of care to help improve patient outcomes and/or quality of life
- Knowledge of menu requirements
- Knowledge of State and Federal Guidelines
