Hill Country Dairies is seeking a dedicated and reliable CDL Route Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering dairy products to various locations while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, a strong work ethic, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks. As a Route Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Operate a straight box trucks and other delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Navigate assigned routes while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload goods efficiently from the vehicle using hand truck and ensuring all items are secured for transport.
- Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, including signatures and delivery confirmations in compliance with company policies.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns during deliveries.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Previous route delivery experience is a plus.
- Valid Class B commercial driving license with experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles.
- Proven delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving efficiency.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks as required by the job.
