Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our dynamic manufacturing facility team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and systems to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise will help minimize downtime, improve safety standards, and support continuous production processes. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot complex machinery issues using schematics, electrical blueprints, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters.
- Repair or replace defective components in equipment such as motors, drives, valves, sensors, and control panels.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, maintenance activities, and equipment history.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics on low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Operate precision measuring instruments to ensure machinery meets specifications during repairs or installations.
- Use welding techniques—including welding—on metal components to restore or modify equipment as needed.
- Read electrical schematics and blueprints accurately to facilitate troubleshooting and repairs.
- Support field service operations by providing technical assistance on-site at various locations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze equipment performance issues and implement solutions that enhance reliability.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to electrical systems, high voltage equipment, and industrial maintenance procedures.
- Assist in the installation of new machinery or upgrades to existing systems while ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
Experience
- Proven experience working within a manufacturing facility environment with a focus on industrial maintenance or mechanical repair.
- Strong background in electrical troubleshooting—including electrical systems, controls, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HVAC/R systems, and HVAC experience is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics troubleshooting, equipment repair, and maintenance is essential.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms for work order management and maintenance tracking is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals accurately.
- Experience with industrial electrician tasks such as low voltage wiring, high voltage safety procedures, and electrical blueprint reading is required.
- Knowledge of field service operations combined with excellent customer service skills enhances your ability to support clients effectively.
- Ability to analyze complex mechanical issues using precision instruments like ammeters and ohmmeters while maintaining safety standards.
- Prior experience working with industrial mechanics in fast-paced environments is highly valued.
