Charge RN – Main Operating Room (OR)
Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Schedule: Full-Time 8 hour day shifts
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Charge Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Main Operating Room team in Santa Rosa, CA. This role combines direct patient care with clinical leadership, supporting daily operations, coordinating staff, and ensuring safe, high-quality perioperative care.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced OR nurse who demonstrates strong leadership, collaboration, and clinical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and support to the Main OR nursing team during assigned shifts.
- Coordinate daily patient flow and staffing assignments.
- Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care while maintaining patient safety.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff.
- Promote compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and quality initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
- Minimum 2 years of recent Perianesthesia/Operating Room RN experience.
- At least 1 year of nursing experience demonstrating leadership abilities (e.g., Charge Nurse, Team Lead, Preceptor, or similar leadership responsibilities).
Preferred Candidate

- Recent leadership experience in an Operating Room or Perianesthesia setting.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills.
- The ability to lead clinical operations while maintaining excellent patient care standards.
