Hiring: (Spanish/English) Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist or CDE by Nutrition In Action LLC
Job Opportunity:
ONE RD Position AVAILABLE: July 1 start date - accepting applications NOW until job is filed (~4-6 week process from hiring to start date)
Qualifications:
· CDR credentials as RDN or CDE and MUST BE bilingual fluent (English/Spanish)
Job Outline:
- Nutrition counseling mainly with families of obese children as well as those who are underweight. Adult patients are also seen and may have other nutrition related condition(s) which require nutrition intervention.
- As much as 95% of the work is with client in which the parents speak only Spanish. There will not be an interpreter present, unless the child or other family member speaks English.
- Work 12-15 hours per week on any weekday plus possibly two Saturdays a month, if desired by the new hire. Hours of operation preferred to be in the afternoons 3-7pm PST are a must for the weekday work days. Flexible in which days of the week to work.
- All counseling is done via Zoom for Business (HIPAA approved) and all charting is done on Electronic Health Record (Practice Better). Paid training (2 hrs) prior to start date.
Specific Description:
- Assessment of nutritional status (including laboratory results when available) and establishes plan of action; utilizes assessment and evaluation techniques that consider the varied needs of age-specific populations as well as cultural, religious, and ethnic concerns. Documents assessment, evaluation and intervention and patients' progress using the ADIME template
- Serves as an expert resource and collaborates with the multi-disciplinary medical team (as needed) on nutrition-related matters. Knowledge of therapeutic approaches and principles of Medical Nutrition Therapy and ability to plan, develop and deliver nutritional interventions as well as provide individualized dietary consultations.
- Nutrition In Action, LLC administrative assistant will be making all new patient appointments and confirmation calls for new patients as well as for follow ups. New hire - responsible for making appointments using a computerized scheduling program with patients who need to be seen for follow up. Owner - responsible for all communication with the Primary Care Physician and will provide new hire with medical chart notes for each patient prior to the appointment. Specific working information to be discussed at time of hire.
Compensation:
- RDN $40 per hour to start – raises will be considered after 1 year
- CDE $45 per hour and is the final amount per hour for the duration of employment
- All trainings and 3x/yr team meetings are paid
- Professional liability insurance provided by AMBA Proliability Co. under Nutrition In Action, LLC
- Direct deposit of paychecks, W2 and all taxes all handled by PayChex, an outside agency
