Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash register operations, including processing cash transactions, making change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end
- Assist customers with food service orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery while upselling menu items to enhance sales
- Prepare simple food items when required, adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols
- Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing counters, equipment, and dining areas in compliance with sanitation guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and offering product or menu recommendations
- Support food handling procedures and operate kitchen equipment safely during food preparation or serving activities
Experience
- Previous experience in quick service or fast-food restaurants is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Food industry experience including food preparation, serving, or food safety management is advantageous
- Strong math skills for retail math, cash handling, and transaction processing are essential
- Experience in retail sales transactions or grocery store environments will be beneficial
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service
- Prior roles involving cashiering, food handling, or restaurant service will support success in this position
