JSG is recruiting a Structural Engineer

Pay $55/hour to $60/hour
What You'll Do:
As a Structural Engineer, you will review drawings for various commercial projects, evaluate design requests, and collaborate with Engineers of Record through all project phases. You'll independently analyze steel fabrication, foundation shop drawings—including deep foundations—and ensure structural integrity and compliance. Expect to visit sites, vendors, and attend stakeholder meetings, contributing your expertise to ensure each project’s success.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or related engineering discipline
- 5-10 years of relevant structural engineering experience
- Proven ability to review and interpret shop drawings and construction documents
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, foundations, and deep foundations
- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work independently
- Comfortable traveling to project sites and vendor locations as needed
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with commercial non-manufacturing projects
- Familiarity with Ford’s engineering standards and processes
- Knowledge of deep foundation techniques and construction feasibility
- Certification such as Professional Engineer (PE) license
