Job Overview
We are looking for a highly reliable, self-sufficient Chef for Meal Prep and Cooking Classes. This is a client-facing role inside someone's private home- if showing up on time, every time, is not something you can commit to, this is not the right fit. We are looking for professionals who treat every shift like it matters, because to our clients, it does.
Must:
- Be comfortable working one-on-one in a client's home
- Bring your own equipment
- Be able operate independently without supervision.
- Undergo and pass a full background check before hire.
Role: will entail 3-4 hour long shifts throughout the week (double shifts possible)
Pay: starts at $30 an hour, and entails either Meal Prep, Cooking Class Instruction, and occasional Private Event.
Job Details: This role includes cooking for weekly meal prep or cooking classes. Your expertise in food preparation, timing, plating, and kitchen operations will ensure that our clients receive high quality meals consistently. All recipes, grocery list, and list of equipment needed are provided for all orders by the company

Responsibilities & Duties
- Cook all recipes to company standards, dietary needs, and to menu specifications.
- Prepare ingredients with precision, safety, and dietary caution.
- Reliably show up for shifts as scheduled with necessary Chef's equipment needed for the shift.
- Effectively shop for ingredients when necessary (grocery lists are provided with recipes)
- Be pleasant in the client's home while preparing the meals for them whether it is meal prep for a plated meal.
- Cook and assemble meals in accordance with safety standards and dietary considerations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety management practices
- Chefs grocery shop (unless the client provides groceries), cook the order, portion the food into containers or plate and clean up- that is the shift in a nutshell.
Experience
- Proven experience cooking for dietary needs.
- Strong background in menu execution, food preparation, cooking, plating and food industry best practices
- Knowledge of recipe execution, food made to order, and presentation.
- Experience completing tasks in time frame, while maintaining company standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
- Demonstrated proficiency in culinary techniques including knife skills, slicing methods, and meal assembly.
- Familiarity with safety standards in kitchen environments, food handling procedures, and food safety.
- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment is essential.
