Job Summary:
The Upstream Manufacturing Technician supports biopharmaceutical manufacturing operations by performing media preparation, inoculum preparation, sampling, and other production activities. This role requires working in a GMP manufacturing environment while following safety and quality procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform media preparation, inoculum preparation, and sampling activities.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and GMP guidelines.
- Complete production documentation accurately.
- Operate and clean manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Work effectively with the manufacturing team to meet production goals.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related field is preferred.
- 0 2 years of manufacturing, laboratory, or pharmaceutical/biotech experience preferred.
Required Skills:
- Ability to follow written procedures and instructions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work in a GMP/cleanroom environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to wear cleanroom gowning/PPE.
- Stand for extended periods during a 12-hour shift.
- Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
