Assistant Project Manager – Construction & Real Estate

Eastern States Group is seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to help oversee construction and improvement projects across our portfolio of apartment, build-to-rent, industrial, commercial, and self-storage properties throughout northern Delaware.

What You’ll Do

Assist with new construction, renovations, expansions, tenant improvements, and major maintenance projects.

Coordinate contractors, vendors, suppliers, and service providers.

Help manage project schedules, costs, quality, and day-to-day execution.

Solicit, review, and negotiate contractor bids.

Conduct site visits and quality-control inspections.

Track project progress and help resolve issues quickly.

Build strong relationships with contractors, vendors, and internal teams.

Assist with coordination of construction and maintenance activities.
What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and follow projects through to completion.

Comfortable working with and directing contractors and vendors.

Ability to read construction drawings/blueprints—or the ability and desire to learn quickly.

Genuine interest in construction, real estate development, and project management.
Construction or project management experience is a plus, but we also welcome motivated candidates with relevant transferable experience.
