Founding Team Intern (Work Directly With the Founder)
Rescue Rituals is a pre-launch startup building a platform that lowers the barriers to pet adoption and turns rescue into a community people want to be part of. We're early, which means the work is real and the learning is fast. This role works side by side with our founder and CEO to build the company from the ground up.
This is not a fetch-coffee internship. You'll get a front-row seat to how a startup actually comes together across product, partnerships, operations, research, and strategy. If something needs doing, we figure it out together.
What you'll do:
- Support day-to-day operations and keep projects moving
- Help with business development: outreach to shelters, local businesses, and partners, plus tracking and follow-up
- Research prospects, events, and opportunities across NYC and Long Island
- Prep materials for meetings and partnerships
- Pitch in wherever the day takes us
Who you are:
- Based in the NYC or Long Island area and able to work in person [3-4 days/week]
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable owning tasks without a lot of hand-holding
- A clear communicator who can represent the brand well
- Genuinely interested in startups, animal welfare, or both
