Duties
- Prepare and assemble meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new dishes and accommodating special dietary needs
- Support food preparation activities including chopping, cooking, plating, and portioning to maintain efficient kitchen flow
- Handle food safely by following proper hygiene practices, storage procedures, and sanitation protocols
- Contribute to catering events by setting up food stations, serving guests, and maintaining cleanliness throughout service
- Maintain accurate food handling records and assist in inventory management of kitchen supplies
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of meals and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
- Strong background in food industry roles such as restaurant or kitchen experience with a focus on food preparation and service
- Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety regulations
- Skilled in culinary techniques including knife skills, cooking methods, and food presentation
- Experience with fine dining or catering environments is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
