Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various carpentry tasks, including remodeling, fixture installation, and trim carpentry. This role requires a strong understanding of construction site safety and the ability to work with a variety of materials and tools. The Carpenter will be responsible for creating, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Work with stucco and plaster to finish surfaces as needed.
- Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square by using appropriate tools.
- Install drywall and perform finishing tasks to achieve a polished look.
- Utilize power tools safely and effectively for various carpentry tasks.
- Execute trim carpentry work including molding, baseboards, and cabinetry.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on remodeling projects to ensure quality workmanship.
- Form concrete structures as required for specific projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on the construction site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods including framing, drywall installation, and trim work.
- Familiarity with using power tools such as saws, drills, and nail guns safely.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safety protocols on construction sites is essential.
- A valid driver’s license may be required for travel between job sites.
