From the Philadelphia hospitality group CookNSolo, behind celebrated concepts such as Zahav, Laser Wolf, Goldie, K’Far, Jaffa Bar and Lilah: Dizengoff is hiring a Sous Chef to join the team.
This Sous Chef will be on a leadership team that is passionate about fostering a positive work culture, deepening their team’s culinary knowledge, and is committed to the guest experience. This individual is exceedingly dependable, puts forth a great attitude, and has a desire to learn and grow each day.
A minimum of three years relevant experience is required.
Weekend availability is required.
Sous Chef Expectations:
Work hand-in-hand with fellow FOH and BOH managers to oversee service while continuously thinking of areas for growth
Be team oriented and ready to step in and come to the aid of your staff at any time
Support service by jumping in on food preparation, on the line, and in dish plating
Must thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
Develop and assist to oversee changing of the menus, and overall meal presentations
Be a strong and diligent communicator
Ensure the kitchen staff operates in a timely manner
Oversee inventory and reordering of supplies
Recruit and train new staff for all BOH positions
Ensure the quality of product is of the highest standard
Ensure food safety and sanitation regulations are of the highest standard
Write the kitchen team schedule
Be a problem solver
