We are seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resource and Business Office Manager to join our skilled nursing facility team at Ossian Care Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in long-term care or nursing home operations, with hands-on experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and human resource functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and process accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP)
- Manage weekly payroll, including employee time tracking and pay adjustments
- Coordinate all HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations
- Lead the hiring process, maintain personnel files, and ensure compliance with labor laws
- Accurately handle resident admissions and maintain financial records related to billing and insurance
- Utilize PointClickCare (PCC) software for billing, census tracking, and documentation
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims and denials
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to billing, payroll, and HR
- Prepare and manage monthly financial reports and census data
- Coordinate with outside vendors and manage facility contracts
- Support the survey process and assist with compliance documentation
- Conduct or assist with new employee orientation and training
- Administer and track FMLA, Workers' Compensation, and unemployment claims
- Act as a liaison between departments to ensure smooth interdisciplinary communication
- Assist with budget planning and monitoring
- Plan and coordinate employee events to foster a positive workplace culture

Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, or related field
- Certification in HR or Payroll (e.g., PHR, FPC, or SHRM-CP) is a plus
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare administration or office management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong knowledge of PointClickCare (PCC)
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party billing is a plus
